About Us

BigBlueTailgate (BBT) is going on our seventh year tailgating. There have been officially 7 members with 4 of us being founding fathers. Here is the BBT adventure.

John, one of the founding members who already had season tickets had a problem. Out of the sea of follow tailgaters, he felt alone. He knew his tailgating experience was lacking some spice. When any extra tickets became available, he offered them to Kathy. For a few years, Kathy and Jeff went to couple of games through each season and shared the love. Finally, prior to the 2000 season our dream came true as Jeff & Kathy received a most gracious offer - one they couldn’t refuse. They were offered full season tickets. That marked the beginning of the 16FTailgatingCrew with its four founding members: John, Kathy, Dave and Jeff, and a “guest” each week. Sometimes John brought his brother-in-law Dave, and other times, his brother Henry. They’re both very cool guys, but Henry’s a Cowboy fan, so a big demerit there J. What a first season we all had. 12 awesome Tailgates including 2 home playoff wins, and then watching Giants play in the Super Bowl (which, as you remember, wasn’t so pleasant).

After a most successful first season, we decided to come up with a more creative name. After many suggestions and plenty of laughs, BigBlueTailgate was born. Now more than 6 years later, we enjoy tailgating more then ever. Thinking of new items to throw on the grill, watching rookies make common tailgating mistakes, and simply enjoying each others company makes being out there on those cold December days all worthwhile.

Who are we really? We are friends that have as passion for sports, enjoy each others company, and love to eat, drink and talk about the Giants.

How to find us:

We have been tailgating at the same spot since 2000 season. Our spot is in lot 16, outside of Gate C, one row SE of the 16F light pole. We usually try to get to the game 4 hours before kick off even if it’s raining, snowing or sleeting. Stop by and have a beer!
